I’m the eighth generation to care for this land, and I see myself as a steward rather than an owner. As the saying goes, we borrow the earth from our children. My hope is that this place becomes somewhere people can truly rest, where the soil heals, and where life flourishes — slowly, quietly, and beautifully. I’ve always loved things that are genuine and well made, and I try to shape this estate with that same sense of care and attention.

FAQS

Can I visit for just the day?

Yes — you're very welcome to explore the gardens (entry fee), walk the land, or book a sauna session without staying overnight. We sometimes host open days or seasonal events, too. You can stay updated with our newsletter.

Is the sauna included with a cabin stay?

Is the sauna included with a cabin stay?
The sauna is available to cabin guests, but it must be booked in advance. We keep it private, so your session will be yours alone. Details on how to reserve it will be shared after booking.

Are children welcome?

Yes, families are very welcome. The cabins are best suited to couples but the farm stays are great for little ones. Please note that this is a working farm with natural features — streams, tools, livestock — so children will need to be supervised at all times.

Is the estate accessible?

Some parts of the estate are uneven underfoot, and our cabins are off-grid and set in the landscape. We’re improving accessibility where we can, so feel free to get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Do I need a car to get there?

Yes — we’re a rural estate, tucked into the hills above Cappoquin, and public transport options are limited. We recommend arriving by car, though taxis from nearby towns are also possible.

Is the estate open all year?

Mostly, yes. The cabins and sauna are available year-round, though the garden and house may have seasonal opening hours. Winter stays are especially peaceful — think fires, mist, and long walks.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes — dogs are very welcome, as long as they’re kept on a lead. This is a working farm with livestock and wildlife, so we ask that you keep your dog close and under control at all times.
